Hi! I was wondering if the D3200 can be controlled with the TP-Link MR3040 connected to its USB port. I'd like to have remote control over my camera and I believe the TP-Link router is a better option (price and functionality) over the WU-1a but I'm not sure it will work on the Nikon D3200 (being such a basic camera).
Has anyone tried? Does it work well? Would anyone recommend the dedicated WU-1a over the MR3040?

It should work with MR3040.
The advantage using MR3040 is that it will work with other DSLR to, so if you later change your D3200 to other Nikon/Canon DSLR it will work.
I also thing that the MR3040 is faster then the WU-1a and has a stronger wireless signal.

Thanks Hubaiz for the quick reply!
The reasons you gave me are exactly the ones I had in mind when considering the MR3040 over the WU-1a; it is a bit cheaper and much more useful. I just wanted to be sure that there are no reasons for it not to work with my camera.
I'll get one soon.
