How does connection sharing work?

Hi,
I've tried to activate connection sharing. However, when I try to connect a new device, the previous device is always disconnected. Can somebody explain me how it is supposed to work?

Saaameee hereeee because my camera display turns off when dslrdashboard is running

Same problem, need one display to pull focus and one to see on the steadycam what i am shootijg, not luck making this happen
