Hello I have a nikon d7200 and I'm trying to find a way for me to be able to see the live view when I'm recording a video. For the life of me I can't figure it out if I'm doing something wrong with the settings or if that's not a possibility with the program. I have the latest firmware updates. I have both a macbook and a windows desktop. I would prefer to use the macbook for the live view feature seeing as I need it be a bit portable.
Any Suggestions? If this software won't work, does anybody know of any other way to make sure the thing works? I also tried to do the live view feature on an android phone using an OTG cable and still no luck with movie recording.

I would appreciate any reply, thank you!

You can use remote control only with USB connection to camera while recording movies.
Canon and Nikon does not allow using built in WiFi while movie recording.

There is a problem with recording movies on D7200 using qDD but Zoltan is working on that.
There are another problems with Nikon and remote movie recording.
1. There is slightly lag between camera and what you see on computer. On mobile devices like tablets, phones there can be a really big lag.
2. When Nikon camera is connected do USB you cannot see LV on camera. Only on remote device. In your situation the movie preview will be only available on your Mac book screen.

If you want to be able to see LV preview on camera and remotely you will need 2 preview monitors (like Lilliput) and HDMI splitter and for wireless remote preview wireless set for HDMI transmission.
Or 1 preview monitor (for camera) and HDMI capture card for your MacBook.

Any updates on this?
I have a Nikon D7200 tethered via OTG to a Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet.
I'm also trying to find a solution for off-camera live view when recording video.
Using qDDv3.5.1, I've had no luck.
