Nikon high speed transfer fails with USB connection

Post by aris00 »

Setup:
V0.3 beta9
Nikon D7200, USB 2.0 connection directly to the computer (no hub)
OS X 10.7.5

Hello there,

Thanks for the new beta! Things are a lot more reliable now.

Here's a problem I encountered but have a workaround:
With the D7200 connected via USB cable, after taking a shot, the image viewer will come up but displays nothing, just black. Same with trying to view another image from the camera within the same viewer. But if I turn off "Use Nikon high speed transfer" from the qDD settings the viewer loads the image correctly.

LiveView seems unaffected.

No problem with high speed transfer enabled and a WiFi connection to the same camera.

What do you think?

I am having the same issue. It's not too bad without high speed transfer, but it would be nice if the image shows up quicker. Any news on making high-speed transfer work?
