Does Dslrdashboard Live View Video work with D3300

Does anyone know if Live View Video control on Dlsrdashboard will work with a Nikon D3300? If not will a D5300 work? I have a D90 that does not work for this and I'm considering upgrading but I can't find this answer anywhere. Any help will be appreciated.

The D3300 will work however it is a budget model with no documentation for developers from Nikon and with limited set of PTP commands/properties.
Not sure if movie recording can be started on D3300.
The Nikon D90 is an older model with no commands for starting/stoping movie recording.
The D5300 has the required commands for starting/stoping movie recording and you will be better with it.

Sorry to be a pain but do you know if a D5200 will work for controlling video? It's a bit cheaper than the 5300 with almost the same features. Thanks.

Yes, video recording with D5200 is also possible.
