Live View filter documentation

Perhaps you've already done it and I just missed it, but could you provide some narrative description of the LiveView filter options in the draft user manual? Some I know, but some I do not.
Also, any chance of some parameters (with a default specified) or options (e.g., filling in areas in focus) for focus peaking? Perhaps I just need to switch to a faster lens, but it seems to me that every edge apparent in the image is being highlighted.
