Hi,

I have been using this great app successfully on my iPad with a router since last year but yesterday (after a month without using it) the app does not connects with my Canon 7D. The router is ON as well is the camera but dslrdashboard does not connects to the camera.
Do u have any idea what may be going on?

Regards

Miguel

From you iPad browser can you access the OpenWrt web interface (http://192.168.1.1) ?

If yes connect your 7d to MR3040 and turn it on and under Status->System log check if you have something like this:

Code: Select all

Mar 4 06:55:43 Arduino kern.info kernel: [2409513.330000] usb 1-1.1.4.3: new high-speed USB device number 94 using ehci-platform
Mar 4 06:55:43 Arduino kern.info kernel: [2409513.510000] usb 1-1.1.4.3: New USB device found, idVendor=04a9, idProduct=323b
Mar 4 06:55:43 Arduino kern.info kernel: [2409513.510000] usb 1-1.1.4.3: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
Mar 4 06:55:43 Arduino kern.info kernel: [2409513.520000] usb 1-1.1.4.3: Product: Canon Digital Camera
Mar 4 06:55:43 Arduino kern.info kernel: [2409513.520000] usb 1-1.1.4.3: Manufacturer: Canon Inc.
In qDslrDashboard can you try an long press the 'Network' button and enter the 192.168.1.1 IP address and press connect?

Hi hubaiz,

Thank you very much for the prompt help of yours.
I tried the tip but it doesn't works. I can not access this IP address neither from my iPad nor from my laptop.

Your second advice also didn't work. I pressed long the Network button, then the IP address appeared, I pressed Submit, but the result was nothing as you can see in the attached photos.

Do you have any other advice please. I really need to have this thing sorted out.

Regards

Miguel

My dear friend,

Thank you a lot for your advices and sorry for my stupidity.
Everything is working fine now.
Guess what! On the iPad I forgot to select the router's wireless network before anything else.

Kind regards

Miguel
