Re: USB or HDMI from camera
HDMI also won't work with MacBook. It does not have HDMI input. You will need external video capture device.

Re: Can't auto-download images (Nikon D40)
Nikon D40 is no longer supported by Nikon in their API, which is used by qDD so qDD might not work properly with it.

Re: Anyone successfully using qDSLRDashboard on a Galaxy S8?
With D300/D300s you have to set USB mode on camera. If you can see photos from camera in gallery, you have wrong mode set because gallery will see photos when camera is in MSD mode (like flash drive). Switch it to PTP mode.

Re: what is the resolution on tablet?
1080p is on HDMI output.
When using USB remote control resolution is much lower. Usually it's around VGA (640x480) or a bit higher.

Re: Magic Lantern, it's a tragedy not to support it.
There was an app for remote control of ML but it was impossible to maintain and keep it up to date so project was scrapped.
There is no documentation nor API for remote access to ML so don't expect support for it in qDD.

You have to direct this to Sony. It's only in their power to add this.

Re: Wrong exposure on qdslrdashboard app
No, it's not wrong, and it cannot be wrong. qDD does not shows exposure by it's self. It only shows what is on camera. If it shows + 1/3 EV than it is what was send by camera. Also if you compare exposure measurements in LV with those via viewfinder - check camera manual - they won't be always the s...

Re: Help with reviewing pictures
LV shows pictures after applying Picture Control settings. Those settings are stored in pictures but cannot be read because they are encrypted and only Nikon knows how to access them. So qDD shows RAWs with own standard settings for developing pictures and RAWs will always look different in qDD on c...

Re: Help with reviewing pictures
It all depends on camera. If you can set camera to exposure simulation mode (e.g. in Nikon lower end models you have to set camera in manual mode and turn on manual exposure for movies) than LV image will be close to final picture.
