DDServer not found / MR3020 / D90

Post by sndrgn »

Hi, I am getting crazy with the MR3020 and my Nikon D90. I flashed yet the router one million times (https://dslrdashboard.info/download/dds ... ysupgrade/) The connection via WIFI is working instantly, but then I cannot go further. When I try to connect with my iPhone 6 I get the message "DDServer not found, connecting to IP 102.168.1.1". When I click on the Nikon icon, I get "Error getting DSLR list from IP: 192.168.1.1". The D90 is connected via USB cable to 3G/4G USB port.
What is going wrong here?

Thanks for your help, Chris

The 'Nikon wireless' button is only used with Nikon DSLR that have built in wireless or use the WU-1a/1b adapter.
For ddserver you need to use the 'Network' button.

connecting to IP 102.168.1.1" << I guess you entered the wrong IP, it should be 192.168.1.1 by default.
Try and long press the 'Network' button and enter 192.168.1.1 in the IP dialog and finally press the 'Ok' button.

Hi, I am afraid, but I mistyped the IP. I have the original 192.168.1.1. Maybe there is something with the firewall, that the port is blocked? I read a forum thread some days ago....

Not sure what firewall, only if you have one on your iPhone.
Can you connect to the MR3020 wireless from your iPhone (should be DDServerAP by default) ?
After connecting to the MR3020 wireless open a web browser on your iPhone and navigate to http://192.168.1.1
You should get the OpenWrt web administration interface, do you get that?

I tested it, the connection via WIFI works on Laptop and iPhone, The connection to the Interface on http://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/luci works on Laptop and on iPhone (safari). The DSLRDashboard still tells me, "DDServer not found".

Open the OpenWrt web interface and navigate to System->Software
In the list do you have a package with name 'ddserver' ?

Do the following:
- power on the MR3020 and wait till it boots
- connect your D90 with USB cable to the full size USB port on the MR3020 (try to use the original cable that you get with your D90 or a shorter one)
- power on your D90
- connect your controlling device and navigate to the OpenWrt web interface (http://192.168.1.1)
- navigate to 'Status'->'System log' and scroll down to the end
you should see something like this:

Code: Select all
