Overcoming the lack of Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB) in NIKON D3300?

Post by tone_n_tune »

I have a NIKON D3300, but it does not have Auto-Exposure Bracketing (AEB).

Can I use qDslrDashboard to overcome this limitation? Ideally I would like to take 3 consecutive shots with -1, 0, +1 EV (D3300 can take 5 shots in burst mode though).

Thanks! :)

Thanks for the reply.

I need to buy a USB-OTG cable to connect my android phone to D3300. Can any kind hearted soul provide a link of such compatible cable in ebay.com.au (I'm from Australia)??

Hi, I just typed in OTG Cable in the Aussie ebay and got 500 plus options. However (and just an opinion) better to try and use the wireless option with a router so do not have to touch the camera even connected with OTG for HDR brackets on a tripod.

Hi, I use this cable with my Canon 600D and the Nexus 7 pad when not shooting for HDR but mostly I use the TP Link 3040 available from Ebay AU for AU $52.00. Outside no problems. I am also a great beliver in 'You get what you pay for' so don't skimp if you go the OTG cable. JMO.

Hi Cathy and Russ,

How do you guys manage to lug around with Tripod, Tablet, router and of course the DSLR? I almost always shoot handheld now, so mobility is a concern.

Can you guys post some pictures of your setup in-field?
