D7000 + samsung s6 edge plus not working

Post by marcello »

Ehi,
The app does not recognize at all my camera (nikon d7000) connected with otg cable. No way. The USB button does anything, no signals, no error messages, nothing at all.
Neither with a Note 10.1.
Neither with an ipad air
Neither with an iphone 6.
I spent 20 euros for what?!

First - on iOS there is only WiFi connection available. So if you tried USB - it couldn't work.

Note 10.1 has problems with USB-host function. Not every adapter works and not every devices works so it looks like it does not have full USB-host support which is needed for qDD to work.

As for S6 Edge - this might be issue with Samsung's firmware or any app for USB that you have installed. It works up to SGS5 (checked today on factory clean software).

And why issues on Samsung devices are not shown on the playstore?Do we have to pay to discover it?
I don't have any app for usb installed on my S6,and it's brand new.
Any other solution?
my fault for iOS devices, but it's quite annoying having spent other money for the android version and find out it's not working on two devices which are both very popular :(

Sorry for late answer.
The problem is that if the vendor did not properly implement the USB host function then it will not work and developers can't fix that, only the vendor can (if the hardware supports it)
You can use this application to detect if the Android device has the full USB host function: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... iagnostics

On iOS devices the USB API is not available for developers. It is written in the application description: 'Application for controlling DSLR wirelessly'
