Nikon D5500 Wifi to Android Galaxy Note4
Nikon D5500 Wifi to Android Galaxy Note4
Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Just bought your qDSLRDashboard app to try to use it with my new Nikon D5500 camera. The Wifi is on in the camera. Nikon's app can connect to it to take a photo or download photos, but they don't allow changing settings like your app is supposed to. But it's not letting me connect. I tapped with Nikon Wifi icon in the app, and nothing happens? I held it for longer, and checked the IP, it seems correct for the server, not sure about the port number. This is a $9 app, how is it supposed to work?!?

It's hard to connect to camera when it's already connected with Nikon WMU.
Uninstall it and you will be able to connect with qDD.

There's no need to uninstall WMU. The only requirement is not to try to use both apps at the same time.
On my mobile devices both apps co-exist without a problem.
I prefer using WMU for browsing pictures and transferring them to iPad. For taking photos, qDD is the app of my choice.
