qdslrdb 0.3.5.1 on android only connects SOME of the time to my nikon D7000 using the wireless router.
Sometimes it works perfectly. But MOST of the time it doesn't connect. It just stays on the connection screen and never makes it to the camera control screen.
My android phone running lolipop sees ddserver and connects to it via wifi (I am using the router), but once I start up the app and click on the wireless link in the camera connection screen, it won't go to the camera control screen.
If I long pause, it asks me to input the ipaddress and port. But that doesn't help either. For instance, ddserver will say that the ip address is 192.168.1.198 and I put that in the menu in dqslrdb and click ok, but nothing happens (and I have no idea what port to use, either. I just use the default one.)
Again sometimes it works fine and connects instantly. But MOST of the time it doesn't connect.

Re: Not Connecting To Nikon D7000
Anyone have any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this???
Re: Not Connecting To Nikon D7000
I have D7k and no problem with connecting.
Check router log just after connecting camera to router if camera is connected and recognized.

Thanks for the reply, GonzoG
Can you tell me how I would check the router log?
I am using the tp-link router.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Not Connecting To Nikon D7000
Just login to router web page. There are 2 logs. One of them shows if and what was connected.
Re: Not Connecting To Nikon D7000
Thanks again for following up.
Ummm... since I am using qdslrdashboard on an android device, does that mean I should connect to ddserver and then use a browser to go to 192.168.1.1 ???
Or is there some other way to view the router logs?
(And am I right that the ip address is 192.168.1.1? or is it a different IP address?)
Thanks in advance.

Re: Not Connecting To Nikon D7000
Those are OpenWRT logs. Just open Luci web interface in any browser.
Re: Not Connecting To Nikon D7000
Can you please tell me HOW to do this??? I don't know how to do it.Just open Luci web interface in any browser.
I went to 192.168.1.1 and logged into the admin panel fine.
But I can't find any logs in there.
Where are they please?
do I need a different ip number besides 192.168.1.1 ???
Re: Not Connecting To Nikon D7000
Also, I am not using encryption with my router.
SHOULD I be using encryption?

Again, it works well when I am at home, but when I am out on location, it just doesn't connect. Don't know why not.

Re: Not Connecting To Nikon D7000
In Luci (router www page) on top you have menu, there (if I remember correctly) in System is a link to log page.
