Hello,
today I was shooting a blue hour-to-night transition using ControlMyCamera, iPhone 11 and R5.
Shooting interval 5", longest exposure set to 2", electronic shutter 1st curtain, using Canon TC-80N3 intervalometer.
Initial capture settings were 1/5, F4 and ISO 100 - slightly underexposed in order not to protect highlights.
Auto holy grail and NTC (2.0) were selected and I've started the sequence. After I've noticed images got too dark I have manually corrected the exposure on the camera (the + button in ControlMyCamera didn't react). Even though the sequence was underexposed around 2,5 stops at the end - the initial settings didn't change at all.
I've already successfully accomplished several holy grail transitions with the same setup so I'm really confused what happened.
I would be very grateful to get some advice.
Thanks in advance.
Krzysztof

Re: Please help, Auto Holy Grail results too dark
According your last image the 'Auto holy grail' was not enabled.
Re: Please help, Auto Holy Grail results too dark
Thank, it’s correct. I’ve taken this screenshot after going in full manual mode adjusting the camera by myself. Before that it was activated. I should have written that in my original post.
Re: Please help, Auto Holy Grail results too dark
Ok, does the intervalometer enable the camera autofocus between the captures?
Re: Please help, Auto Holy Grail results too dark
I was using Canon TC 80N3, always trying to allow at least 2" between the longest shutter speed end the end of the given interval.
Today I started 3 new sequences with Auto Holy Grail.
-4" longest shutter speed and 15" interval: worked out perfectly
-6" longest shutter speed and 15" interval: worked out perfectly
-6" longest shutter speed and 8" interval: didn't work
So, ok, that could be an explanation for today - 2" were not enough.
But yesterday I had an 5" interval and the shutter speed didn't exceed 1/5".
I'll be getting the LRT Pro Timer on Friday anyway, maybe my problem would get solved by the new intervalometer.
Thank you for your support!
