Video recording with Nikon D500

I still can't start a video recording with qDslrDashboard v3.5.3 / TPLINK-MR3040 wifi connection with my Nikon D500 (worked straight-forwardly with Nikon D7000) without first removing XQD / SD cards and re-inserting them while camera switched on. Am I doing something wrong / is this possible? Can anyone tell me how to overcome the problem please?

Is your MR3040 a V1 or V2?
I did some changes to the ddserver that should fix the video recording problem but couldn't test it yet.

I have V2 but I haven't updated firmware since I first did it 1-2 years at as I didn't realise I needed to / didn't know you'd made changes to DDServer rather than the IOS app. Should I upgrade the firmware then to resolve the video start button issue?

It is not distributed yet, it is in testing.
If you like to test it I can upload it to Drive

Happy to test it for you if you tell me what I need to do to ensure a proper test. Given the popularity of the D500 and qDslrDashboard, getting everything working properly would be very welcome.

Here is the sysupgrade for the MR3040 V2: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxMZ8X ... sp=sharing
You should follow the update instructions: https://dslrdashboard.info/tp-link-mr30 ... e-upgrade/

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I downloaded the ddserver_openwrt-tl-mr3040-v2-squashfs-sysupgrade_0.13 bin file for my tplink v2. I followed the instructions and the router rebooted, came back online, and the recording button still does not work with my d500. Here is what I copied from the UI of the router:
Router Name OpenWrt
Router Model TP-Link TL-MR3040 v2
Firmware Version OpenWrt Attitude Adjustment 12.09.1 / LuCI 0.11 Branch (0.11+svn9951)

I am not sure if I have successfully upgraded as the LuCl branch says 0.11 and the version number of the upgrade is 0.13, but I may be just misinterpreting the numbers.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled qdsl dashboard, rebooted all the devices, and taken the rubber chicken out of the drawer and shaken at the camera. No joy.

I have a traumatic brain injury and may just be doing something wrong. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

You need to install the image from the previous post as that one has an updated ddserver package ( viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2087#p5657 ).

Sorry, I am still confused. What is the filename of the ddserver and on what do I install it? The router, or on my iPad and Android device. Thank you brother.
