by default the LAN and WIFI are in same network br-lan with IP address 192.168.1.1 and DHCP is enabled.
So you can plugin in your network cable or connect with wireless.
Did you changed the settings?
Did you unchecked the 'keep settings' when you flashed OpenWrt with ddserver? If not then your previous settings are used probably.

Re: New to Forum - With a Q
Disconnecting the ethernet cable and rebooting the MR3040 I can still see "DDServerAP" but am unable to connect and no "getting ip address" indication.
Re: New to Forum - With a Q
Yes I unchecked the "keep Settings" box. But I'll reflash and make certain of it. Will let you know shortly.
thx

Re: New to Forum - With a Q
reflashed and confirmed "keep settings" box unchecked. Same results.
Re: New to Forum - With a Q
I think something is messed up with the wireless config or the hardware is hosed up. But DDServerAP shows up and disappears frequently. I think I was connected for a few seconds once with my tablet but unable to repeat.
Re: New to Forum - With a Q
You can try and change the wireless channel in OpenWrt web interface.
Navigate to Network->Wifi and then press the 'Edit' button for the wireless interface.

Hi,
1. DHCP will be turned OFF in TPLINK if it is configured in repeater mode.
2. For Wireless connection use WPA2 & Encryption should be "AES" to support new mobiles/Tablets
