D7100 Macbook USB

Post by borisbadenov »

I am having difficulty connecting my Nikon D7100 to my Macbook Pro. I do not have the WiFi adapter so I am trying to use a USB cable. I am using the cable I normally use to connect the camera to the MackBook. I know it works, it is detected by OSX every time I connect and Lightroom pops open. It is just this software does not detect it.

I have tried versions 2.9 and 3.0 but to no avail. My MacBook is a Mid-2012 MacBook Pro running OSX 10.11 El Capitan. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for the help

Get rid of LR or turn of its tether function and it should work.
Your connection with camera is hijacked by LR and cannot be used by other application.
