If the camera is in M mode it will use the shutter speed. If the camera is set to A mode it will use the exposure compensation.

Probably the problem is that the max/min Exposure Compensation value that the camera support is 5 / -5

You need to enable it in the qDslrDashboard settings with the 'Allow RAW only in LRTimelapse mode (Nikon)' option

There is 2 .cmd files in the archive, try starting with qDslrDashboard_Directx.cmd or qDslrDashboard_OpenGL.cmd
