To use the camera built in wireless the controlling device needs to directly connect to the camera so there you can't wireless range extension.
You could connect your camera with USB to a portable wireless router running ddserver and use it's wireless to control the camera with qDslrDashboard.

Before you connect the camera try enabling/disabling the 'Use Canon local storage' option.
Also try adding a small delay, just to see if it will complete all captures (like 2-5 sec)

It is the way the images are downloaded after the capture. On some models it does not work.
