flashing a TP-Link WR 3040

Hi!

First of all: i´m not good in IT-hardware being a photographer . .
Though i use a bunch of HighEnd software for photo-/video processing.

But today i ran into issues flashing a new TP-Link WR3040 for the use with QDSLR-Dashboard.
I´m on a MacPro running Mavericks and i use a Nikon D800.

I followed the instructions on the dslr-dashboard site, read the manual and watched the video.
Connected the device via Ethernet and deactivated WLan, WiFi or whatever.
Only Ethernet on port one (2 seperate ports).

But typing in 192.168.0.1 gets me "Gateway Timeout: can't connect to remote host"
Typing in 192.168.1.1 works fine - but doesn´t run the flash.

Help would be most appreciated

Connect the MR3040 to the MAC with network cable.
Open your web browser and navigate to http://192.168.1.1 and finally make a screen shoot of the web page that you get.
Also repeat this for the http://192.168.0.1

You already have OpenWrt on the MR3040
Click the 'Go to password configuration' and set a password that you will not forget

You can access the administration page by clicking the 'Administration' button in the lower right corner

After you set the password using the Administration page navigate to Systen->Software and check that you have the 'ddserver' package

Thank you for clearing the issue!

The problem was: there already WAS a firmware-update on the device. So it refused my attempt to update
via 192.168.0.1 - i just needed to use the 192.168.1.1 procedure only for installing the server.

The descriptions nevertheless mentioned to use 192.168.0.1 as the first step on a brandnew device . . .

That was what confused me completely: 192.168.0.1 wasn´t needed at all. 192.168.1.1 did what was needed . .

Thanks again for your help and i apologize for contacting you per mail - but i didn´t manage to access the forum quickly enough
to solve the problem before yesterday´s evening, the time i needed to do the shot.

After all this was a good experience and i must say: brilliant piece of software you make !! Worked flawlessly and comfortable - once i managed
to flash the device . . .
